It’s Tuesday just before 6 AM and it’s already a good day. Why? Because I’m going back to my Alma Mater today to help recruit and network with students so that they can get jobs and start their careers on the right foot.
That’s what this week is about for me, giving back. It’s the one thing I like about being a Bloomsburg Alum, you can start paying it forward right away. Sending the elevator back down, as my professor used to say, is important in breathing purpose into your life. Life isn’t all just money bags and big boats, you know.
Today I am thankful for:
- The long drive up to Bloomsburg. As much as it stresses me out to drive sometimes, long drives give me time to think and gather my mindset.
- Making the time to have breakfast with the campus ministry adviser. She’s a wonderful woman who is fighting a hard battle with breast cancer and I’m happy to spend time with her.
- The nostalgia of being back on campus. There’s nothing like going back and reliving all the best memories
If you’re having a tough time today, be thankful for your education and the opportunities it afforded you, even if you didn’t go to college or pursue higher education. Even if you just got a real estate license or personal training certification, be thankful for the doors opened because of them.

In love and light,
